JobLink Department

This department has 2 main roles; namely managing the Job Re-creation Programme (JRP) and operating the Careerlink@ntuc & wda centre. The former seeks to re-create jobs and enhance job worth whilst the latter focuses on providing placement support for job seekers and employers. These have been the main roles of JobLink since 2005 when PM Lee Hsien Loong first launched the JRP.

In 2006, with the new funding from WDA and SLF for the JRP, these functions have been reinforced with new resources to accelerate our activities to achieve the new target of 10,000 jobs re-created. Since the department is predominantly set-up to manage and drive the JRP and its related activities, Joblink Department has been renamed as Job Re-creation Department (JRD) to align the department’s name with this national initiative.
