NTUC Cooperatives – Stretching The Dollar
The NTUC understands the difficulties facing our workers, in particular the lower-income members. Over the years, with the support of the Singapore Labour Foundation (SLF) and the NTUC cooperatives, the NTUC unions have helped the lower-income and needy members through their many programmes.

In 2004 and the first half of 2005, the NTUC contributed more than $6.7 million in the form of NTUC FairPrice vouchers, NTUC Club Family Recreation FUNd vouchers, transport vouchers, etc. for members. The NTUC also assists needy members through hardship grants.

The NTUC knows the importance of providing our next generation with opportunities for good education. Union members’ children benefited through union scholarships, bursaries and book grants.

In the coming years, the NTUC and its unions are committed to do more for union members, in particular the lower-income members and the needy members.

NTUC Childcare
Providing affordable quality child-care services for working parents. Union members enjoy discounts off monthly full-day childcare fees.

NTUC ChoiceHomes
Providing quality private housing at fair and affordable prices for workers and members who aspire to own private properties.

NTUC Club
Enhancing well-being of union members and their families through providing affordable social and recreational facilities.

NTUC Eldercare
Providing quality eldercare facilities and services to members. Rebates are given to clients whose family members are union members.

NTUC Fairprice
Setting benchmark prices on daily necessities, with lowest overall price for a basket of daily essential items. It also gives out study grants to 500 members’ children each year.

NTUC Foodfare
Stabilising cooked food prices in Singapore through the use of more efficient methods of operations and distributions.

NTUC Healthcare
Moderating cost of healthcare in Singapore through promoting and providing healthcare products and services at affordable rates. Union members enjoy more LinkPoints.

NTUC Income
Providing affordable insurance for policyholders. Our policyholders enjoy lower premiums and get a better return on their savings.

NTUC LearningHub
Helping workers train and upgrade. Union members enjoy training subsidies and discounts from the NTUC Education and Training Fund (N-ETF) and Skills Development Fund (SDF).

NTUC Link
Giving more value to union members by earning LinkPoints at participating merchants.

NTUC Media
Promoting understanding of labour and current issues.

NTUC Thrift
Promoting thrift among union members and workers. Provides members with premium deposit rates, to encourage savings.
