The Voice of Workers

On behalf of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), the NTUC cooperatives, NTUC affiliated unions and associations, we thank you for your support for the Singapore labour movement.

As a union member, you play an important part in helping our fellow workers and their families. It is with your continuing support that we are able to do so much in order to protect and to enhance our workers’ interests and welfare.

Through this booklet, we hope to help members understand the work of the union and the benefits and services for union members. Members enjoy peace of mind at work, knowing that union leaders will be there when they need help; get good value for money at the NTUC cooperatives; and relax and have fun at the social and recreational facilities for members.

Today, the Singapore labour movement is stronger than in the past. Workers’ lives have improved. In the coming years, we aim to do more for our members, in particular the lower income and the needy members.

While there remain challenges, we are confident that we can, together as ateam, continue to improve the lives of workers in Singapore.

Union membership will remain the most valued membership for workers in Singapore.
