Contest Period

  • 'The Ties that Bind’ contest runs from 15th September 2004 to 21st September 2004.
  • To qualify for the contest, all submissions must be received by midnight of the closing date.

Eligibility

  • The contest is open to all residents of Singapore.
  • All staff of OCBC and Convertium, and their immediate family members are ineligible for this contest.
  • To participate, contestants have to submit their complete and accurate details. NTUC reserves the right to reject any incomplete or false entries.
  • Multiple entries are not allowed.
  • All participants in the contest will have to log in and give his/her full name, NRIC/Work permit/Employment pass number (Unique Identification Number), and contact details such as, e-mail address, telephone number and address (for the purpose of contacting winners). He/she can then immediately answer the contest question.
  • On the quiz page, 1 multiple-choice question is displayed.
  • Contestants must answer the question correctly to qualify for the lucky draw.
  • Participation in the entire ‘The Ties that Bind’ Contest is free and no purchase or fee is needed.

Judging

  • If the winners of the contest have submitted incomplete or erroneous information, they will be automatically disqualified.
  • The decisions of NTUC on all matters relating to this draw are final, conclusive and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

Results

  • Winners will be informed by post according to the postal address provided when registering for the game, within 4 weeks following the end of the lucky draw.
  • Winners’ names and NRIC/Work permit/Employment pass number (Unique Identification Number) will be published on the website after the end of the lucky draw.
  • Any winner who is unable to produce proof of identity according to submitted contest records will be disqualified from collecting the prize. All prizes must be collected in person.
  • Prizes not claimed after one month of the postal notification will be donated to charity.

Publicity

  • Winners may be asked to co-operate in publicity and marketing opportunities like photo sessions and editorial coverage.
  • NTUC reserves all rights to this contest and materials submitted by contestants.

Prizes

  • S$500 cash x 3 winners
  • Prize value will double to S$1000 if winner selected is an OCBC credit card holder.
  • NTUC reserves the right to change or replace prizes to one of equivalent value at any time, without prior notice to contestants.
