Duration: 120 mins (no intermission)

Like a pied piper, Goran Bregovic enjoys a strong following of his music which marry the sounds of gypsy brass bands with traditional Balkan rhythms and Bulgarian polyphonies. Highlights of his film music from Arizona Dream, Underground, Tales & Songs from Weddings and Times of the Gypsies will captivate you with an irresistible urge to dance!

For Bregovic, a former communist pop idol born in a now vanished country, music is about humanity. And that is reflected in the wide musical spectrum of the Wedding and Funeral Band – from earthy dance music, to playful pop tunes, to almost spiritual, meditative pieces. A consummate showman, Bregovic has toured throughout Europe with his Wedding and Funeral Band – a polish string-orchestra, 3 Bulgarian singers, a Serb man's chorus, a drummer and a guitarist – and promises to have the audience on its feet and begging for more.
