
SIM University-NTUC Sponsorship
The SIM University-NTUC Sponsorship programme aims to provide suitable candidates with the opportunity to undertake programmes with SIM University and develop skills for life.
Tenure of Sponsorship
The sponsorship is tenable for the minimum period required to complete the full course of study, as stipulated by the programme. Applications awarded the sponsorship will join the intake commencing in July 2006.
Nature of SIM University-NTUC Sponsorship
For the intake commencing July 2006, there are 5 Graduate Diploma (GD) Sponsorships available.
The list of programmes available are as follows:
- GD Business Administration
- GD Financial Management
- GD Human Resource Management
- GD Marketing Management
Who is eligible?
The Sponsorship is open to all general branch and ordinary branch union members. In addition, applicants should be Singapore citizens or permanent residents, with impressive academic and co-curricular activities record, strong language skills and be able to demonstrate leadership qualities.
Value of Sponsorship
The value of sponsorship is 50% of the total course fee.*

How to apply?
You can obtain an application form here or from NTUC Customer Service Centre located on the Basement of NTUC Centre during the sponsorship exercise (from 6 to 28 February 2006).
Applications must reach NTUC Membership Department by 28 February 2006.

Terms & Conditions
- The sponsorship is open to all NTUC affiliated unions' members who have at least 6 months' of paid up union membership as at 31 Dec 2005.
- Union members must maintain their union membership status throughout the duration of the course or the sponsorship will be immediately revoked.
- Applicants must meet the entry requirements for the applied course of study.
- Sponsorship recipients are not required to serve a bond with the SIM University or NTUC.
- The recipient is required to sit for all examinations, complete the course within the prescribed time and confirm to regulations, instructions and discipline in force for the respective programme.
- The recipients shall not change the course of study.
- The recipient shall not be an existing student and/or take up any additional course of study without the prior written permission of SIM University .
- The sponsorship may not, without the prior approval of SIM University , be held concurrently with any other awards.
- SIM University shall review the recipient's performance at the end of each year of study before the sponsorship is renewed.
- SIM University reserves the right to withdraw or suspend the sponsorship at any time if, in its opinion, the recipient's conduct or performance has not been satisfactory.
- SIM University and NTUC reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions for awarding the sponsorship at their sole discretion.
- The decision of SIM University and NTUC on the selection of sponsorship applicants will be final and no appeal will be entertained. All successful applicants will receive the acceptance letter by mid May 2006.
A separate letter with the detailed terms and conditions (including the above terms and conditions) and others relating to the course of study itself will be given to the successful applicant. Please ensure that you have this letter and understand the binding terms and conditions.
