Speech by Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew to NTUC unionists on 23 July 2003. In his speech, the Senior Minister expressed his confidence that Singapore’ economy will continue to grow and thrive, but wider economic realities compel that companies and workers have to accept new, flexible approaches if they are to remain competitive in the global marketplace.
