In the latest legal primer on 29 September 2015 under the LawWorks Partnership, more than 100 attendees had the opportunity to find out a little bit more about their rights under the Personal Data and Protection Act (PDPA).

The session also saw the launch of a PDPA pocket guide titled ‘Up Close and Personal With Data – Is my personal data safe with my employer?’

About LawWorks Partnership

LawWorks Partnership is a collaboration between NTUC and The Law Society of Singapore. Under this partnership, the two partners aim to educate workers on their legal rights and heighten their knowledge on various aspects of labour and employment-related laws.

NTUC and The Law Society of Singapore plan to organise four legal primers each year. So far, over 10 legal primers have taken place since its launch in January 2013, engaging over 1000 participants.

Participants who are union members were able to attend these workshops on a complimentary basis, as one of the perks enjoyed by union members.

For those who are keen, the next legal primer will take place sometime in November 2015, focusing on workplace bullying and harassment at the workplace and the latest Protection from Harassment Act.
