As a caring Labour Movement, we aim to help our low-income union members in times of need. The U Stretch Vouchers Programme is one of NTUC-U Care Fund’s core assistance programmes which provides relief to our low-income union members by helping to stretch their dollar on daily necessities.
The FRF is organised and sponsored by NTUC Club in support of the Labour Movement’s U Care initiative. Held several times a year, these FRF Carnivals enable lower income union members to have the opportunity to bring their family to Downtown East for a day of fun and entertainment at no cost.
To demonstrate the Labour Movement’s Caring, Sharing and Reaching Out spirit and in celebration of NTUC’s 50th anniversary, the ‘U Care 50’ initiative was launched on 18 March 2011 at the Pertapis Children’s Home.
The annual U Care Back to School Fair is back, bigger and better than before! Enjoy exclusive promotions and deals on school-related merchandise, and at the same time take part in many of the fun-filled activities, workshops and educational talks at the fair.
NTUC GIFT is a group insurance exclusively for NTUC members of participating unions/NTUC affiliates. It covers Death and Total and Permanent Disability due to natural causes and accidents.
Started in 2008, U Stretch vouchers provided relief to our beneficiaries on their living expenses and rising cost of living. Each U Stretch Voucher is a discount voucher that allows the eligible member to enjoy $2.50 off with a minimum spending of $5 at participating NTUC social enterprises.
The “U Care Back to School” Voucher Programme is to assist our low income union members to defray the cost of their children's school expenses for the new school year.
This scheme aims to give assistance to union members or their next-of-kin when the sole or main breadwinner dies, becomes permanently incapacitated or suffers from chronic illness of a non-industrial nature. A registered fire or flood victim who is a member is also entitled to the grant.
