FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. I have referred my friends via online. Does it mean I will be entitled to the rewards as advertised?
    You will only be eligible to the referrer’s rewards if your referrals complete and submit his/her NTUC Union Membership online application at NTUC's website at www.ntuc.org.sg/membership and indicate the Referral Code provided in the invitation Email or SMS sent to your referrals on the online application form within each of the Promotion Period.

    Your referrals can also sign up for a NTUC Union Membership via the unique referral link provided in Facebook.

    Your referrals must also become a paying NTUC Union Member within 1 month from the closing date of the promotion. For instance, if the Promotion Period is from from 1 January 2023 to 28 February 2023, a Contact must become a paying NTUC Union Member by 31 March 2023. In addition, your friend must not have terminated his/her NTUC Union Membership within three (3) months prior to the Promotion Period and must not be in arrears of his/her membership fees.

    You will not be entitled to the referrers’ rewards if your referrals sign up via other channels or if your membership fees is in arrears. This Promotion is not open to referrals for NTUC Family Membership and nEbO members.
  2. Who is eligible to participate in this promotion?
    This promotion is only open to all active paying NTUC Union Members. Active paying member refer to a member who is not in arrears. nEbO members are not eligible to participate in this promotion.
  3. Can I refer anyone for this promotion?
    Yes, you may refer anyone who is not an existing NTUC Union Member and above the age of 16. However, please note that NTUC Union Membership is not open to personnel from Singapore Police Force, Singapore Prison Service, Civil Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces, Narcotics Service, Auxiliary Police bodies (Certis Cisco, Aetos and SATS), foreign domestic workers and full-time students.
  4. How can I participate in the promotion?
    You may log in to UPortal to refer your friends via Facebook, Email and SMS.
  5. Can I bring my friends to any of the NTUC Union Membership roadshow to apply for the membership?
    Unfortunately, this promotion is only extended to online channel. You would not be entitled to any referrer’s reward if your friends sign up for a NTUC Union Membership via NTUC Union Membership roadshow.
  6. When will I receive the FairPrice Group E-Vouchers?
    The FairPrice Group E-Vouchers will be sent to the Member's email address as recorded in NTUC's database, four (4) weeks after each Promotion Period end date. For instance, if the Promotion Period is from 1 January 2023 to 28 February 2023, the E-Vouchers will be sent to the Member’s email address by 31 March 2023. Please note that it is the Member’s responsibility to update NTUC if there has been a change in his/her email address.
