Amid ongoing global volatility, the FairPrice Group has stepped up to help Singapore households manage living costs, especially the vulnerable.

From today to 31 May 2026, FairPrice supermarkets in Singapore are doubling daily CHAS discounts for Blue and Orange cardholders from 3 to 6 per cent.

The move to increase discounts for CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders in Singapore follows an earlier announcement by the supermarket giant in December 2025 to extend the daily discount scheme until the end of 2026.

To make it easier for shoppers to enjoy the discounts, FairPrice Group has integrated MyInfo into its app, enabling a fuss-free checkout with discounts applied automatically at all FairPrice supermarkets.

Over 900,000 Link members can now enjoy seamless discounts during payments.

How FairPrice Group price freezes on popular essentials improve affordability

To further ease cost-pressures in Singapore amid turbulent times, the FairPrice Group will also freeze prices on 100 of its most popular daily essentials, including FairPrice housebrand rice, oil, eggs, fresh and frozen pork and chicken, Milo, milk and detergent.

According to the retailer’s data, these items were purchased by more than nine in 10 CHAS Blue and Orange shoppers.

Shoppers can also enjoy savings with the popular FairPrice Best Sellers for Less campaign. From now to 10 June 2026, customers can enjoy nine more weeks of deals on the most-loved FairPrice housebrand products, with discounts as high as 36 per cent.

How FairPrice’s social mission helps Singaporeans during cost pressures

Born during the oil crisis of the 1970s to keep staples affordable and curb profiteering, FairPrice is no stranger to helping struggling Singaporeans, especially the vulnerable, during times of economic instability.

“Food and groceries make up over 20 per cent of the average household budget, even more for lower-income families. Our mission is to keep meals nutritious and healthy, regardless of market volatility.

“We made a promise 50 years ago to stand by Singaporeans in times of need, and we’re keeping that promise today by doing everything we can to keep essentials within reach,” the retailer’s Group CEO Vipul Chawla said.

NTUC Secretary-General Ng Chee Meng echoed these sentiments.

At NTUC and the FairPrice Group, our social mission is clear. No worker or family should face rising cost pressures alone. The doubling of discounts for CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders means real, daily savings for those who need them most. The price freeze on 100 daily essentials is our way of saying — we hear you, and we’re doing our part to keep essentials within reach,” he said.

How FairPrice Group helped Singapore save over $25 million in 2025

Over the past 50 years, FairPrice Group has helped Singapore save millions in necessities, often stepping up to do more when necessary.

This year alone, Singaporeans have stretched their dollar through 80,000 complimentary Buka Puasa refreshments during Ramadan, $60,000 worth of festive care packs for charity and community beneficiaries, Lunar New Year price freezes on popular items, and FairPrice Return Vouchers alongside the Government’s CDC voucher scheme.

In 2025, Link and NTUC union members saved a whopping $25 million though initiatives, such as Linkpoint redemptions, as well as CHAS and other discount schemes.
