- The Insurance Scheme

1. This insurance scheme provided to, and behalf of, Participating NICA Members through NICA’s Master Policy to provide Participating NICA Members with professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance, is run by NICA with Bolttech and is underwritten by the Insurer.

- Definitions

2. For the purposes of this Agreement, the following definitions shall be applied: Personal Data shall mean any and all personal details that are provided to NICA for the purposes of the Insurance Scheme and as defined in the Personal Data Protection Act.

NICA refers to the National Instructors and Coaches Association

Insurer refers to the Insurance underwriter providing the insurance coverage for the NICA Insurance Scheme

Bolttech refers to Bolttech Insurance Brokers Pte Ltd who are the insurance broker providing NICA with the services of securing Insurers to underwrite the NICA Insurance Scheme

NICA Insurance Scheme shall refer to the insurance scheme provided to Participating NICA Members, providing Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

NICA Member(s) refers to members of NICA

Participating NICA Member(s) refers to NICA Members who have opted to participate in the NICA Insurance Scheme and who have applied to participate, and whose application had been accepted and approved by NICA, Bolttech and the Insurer and who have paid the premium due under the NICA Insurance Scheme.

Undertakings

3. The Participating NICA Member hereby undertakes to submit all the required details, documents and information required to provide coverage under the NICA Insurance Scheme, as well as for any and all claims made under the NICA Insurance Scheme.

4. The Participating NICA Member shall indemnify and hold harmless NICA and Bolttech from any and all damages, losses or liabilities due to the Participating NICA Member’s failure to abide by any of the provisions of this Agreement and of the provisions of the NICA Insurance Scheme.

5. NICA, Bolttech and Insurer shall have the right to access and share the Personal Information submitted by the Participating NICA Member in the Consent Form for the purpose of administering the NICA Insurance Scheme.

6. The Participating NICA Member understands that the Insurer has the right within the limits set out in the Insurance Policy, to approve or deny such claims made under the NICA Insurance Scheme, and that neither NICA nor Bolttech shall be liable for any denial of claims made by the Insurer.

7. The Participating NICA Member shall pay all premiums due for the NICA Insurance Scheme in a timely manner, and agrees that any failure to pay such premiums shall entitle the Insurer to void any coverage under the NICA Insurance Scheme and neither, NICA, Bolttech or the Insurer shall be liable to the Participating NICA Member for any loss of cover in such a case.

8. The Participating NICA Member shall inform the Insurer of any and all claims made against the Participating NICA Member that the Participating NICA Member is looking for coverage under the NICA Insurance Scheme in accordance with the Insurer’s instructions and procedures for lodging a claim.

9. The Participating NICA Member agrees to abide by the requirements, policies and procedures, and terms and conditions of the Insurer in administering the NICA Insurance Scheme.

10. NICA, Bolttech or the Insurer have the right to terminate or discontinue the NICA Insurance Scheme at any time, any unused Insurance Premiums shall be refunded to the Participating NICA Member if such termination results in more than one (1) month’s unused premiums being owed to the Participating NICA Member.
