ACE-Certified Medical Exercise Specialist (Singapore) | ACSM-Certified Fitness Professional | Certified Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor
Andrew Koh is an ACE-Certified Medical Exercise Specialist and ACSM-certified allied healthcare fitness professional delivering evidence-based exercise programmes in Singapore for seniors, working adults, and youths aged 16 and above. His professional practice is guided by the internationally recognised Exercise is Medicine® framework, ensuring training is safe, structured, and aligned with long-term health outcomes, functional capacity, and appropriate medical considerations.
He holds a Specialist Diploma in Sport Science and Wellness and a Professional Certificate in Community Care for Seniors, equipping him with both clinical-grade exercise knowledge and practical insight into Singapore’s ageing, community care, and Active Ageing ecosystem.
Senior & Active Ageing Focus
For older adults, Andrew specialises in senior fitness, functional strength training, balance development, mobility enhancement, and structured fall-prevention programmes that support safe, confident ageing in place. Programmes are carefully designed with appropriate medical, community-care, and functional independence considerations.
Working Adults & Home/Condo Training
For working adults, including individuals training in condos or home gyms. He designs personalised programmes centred on injury prevention, metabolic health, posture optimisation, and sustainable strength development using structured functional training principles.
Youth Development (16+)
For youth aged 16 and above, Andrew emphasises safe movement fundamentals, proper technique, discipline, and long-term physical development. His approach prioritises physical literacy, movement competency, and injury prevention over short-term performance outcomes.
Andrew’s professional credentials are issued by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Both NCCA-accredited organisations are recognised for rigorous standards in professional competency, ethics, and continuing education. This ensures accountability and quality that distinguish his practice from non-accredited or short-course fitness providers.
In addition, Andrew is NROC- and NREP-accredited, having completed Sport Singapore (SportSG) recognised coach education through Republic Polytechnic. He holds Coach Level 1 certification, covering foundational coaching principles across sports, including athlete development, movement fundamentals, safety, ethics, and coaching conduct. This national accreditation complements his international ACE and ACSM credentials, particularly in youth, community, and structured programme settings.
Andrew operates with professional indemnity and public liability insurance coverage, providing assurance to individuals, families, Active Ageing Centres (AACs), eldercare providers, community partners, and collaborating organisations.
He also serves as a Team Nila volunteer leader, reflecting his commitment to community sport, national unity, and promoting active living across Singapore.
Based in Singapore, Andrew is committed to building trusted, long-term partnerships and empowering individuals across generations to move better, stay strong, and age well through structured, evidence-driven exercise programmes.
