The principal objective of UITS is to regulate the relations between members and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to:

• Promote good industrial relations between members and ITE;
• Improve the working conditions of members or enhance their economic and social status;
• Raise the productivity and sense of professionalism of members, for the benefit of ITE, the economy and image of Singapore.
