Q: What is this event about?
A: This is a MoneyWise event jointly organized by OCBC Bank & NTUC. The event aims to provide some tips and advice on the property market from the experts in the filed. The event will kick off with Mr. Thomas Lee, Director (Training –Resale Division) DTZ Debenham Tie Leung, whom will give us an insight of the property market outlook. This will be followed by Ms Sarabjit, Branch Manager of OCBC Home Loan Centre, whom will touch on how to make informed decisions based on the recent changes in property purchase rules.

Q: What language is the talk conducted in?
A: It is conducted in English.

Q:  Who can attend this event?
A: Anyone can attend this event. Registration fee is $10 or 1500 Linkpoints per person for NTUC union members and OCBC customers; $20 or 3000 Linkpoints for the public.

    • Property market performance prior to 1996
    • Property market performance after 1996 and before the recent policy changes

Q: How do I register for the talks?
A: You can register through the following:

• Registration form in Sept issue of Lifestyle magazine (both English & Chinese versions)
• Registration form in Sept issue of NewPlus (English version)
• NTUC Customer Service Centre: located at Basement 1 of NTUC Centre
• Registration form within this website here

Q:  Can I enquire via email?
A: Yes, please send email to moneywise@ntuc.org.sg. We'd be glad to be of assistance.

Q: How do you define OCBC customers?
A: Definition of OCBC customers: holders of any deposits/current account, credit and debit card (including the co-brand cards, like NTUC-OCBC, Robinsons, SAFRA, NTU, etc.)


Q:  How long does it take to confirm my registration?
A: Please allow 2 – 3 days for mailing and another 3 working days for the clearance of cheque. So in total, it takes about 5 – 6 working days to confirm a registration.

Q:  Can I just register for just 1 talk and pay half of the registration fee?
A: Sorry, the registration fee is fixed.

Q: Can I pay the registration fee with my credit card?
A: Sorry, we only accept cheques for registration fee by mail. Cash by walk in at NTUC Customer Service Centre: located at Basement 1 of NTUC Centre.

Q:  Is there a Q&A session?
A: Yes, there will be a Q&A session.

Q:  How do I know whether my registration is confirmed?
A: All successful registrants will be notified by email.

Q:  Will I receive a receipt?
A: No, you will receive a confirmation email once your registration is confirmed.

Q:  How do you confirm my registration if I don't have an email address?
A: If you don't have an email address, you will be notified via phone once your registration is confirmed.

Q:  Do you accept walk-in registration on the event day?
A: Yes, we do. However, seats are limited. To avoid disappointment, it is advisable for you to pre-register to secure a seat. We will only accept cash for registration fee for walk-ins.

Q: Can I get a refund if I can't attend the talk?
A: Sorry, we will not be able to refund once the registration is confirmed.

Q:  I can't attend this talk, do you have another similar event coming up?

Q:  What are the door gift and refreshment?
A: Door gift worth $10. Light refreshments – cakes, sandwiches, pastry, coffee and tea will be served.

Speakers Biodata

1) Property Expert: Mr. Thomas Lee

A Speaker and Trainer with more than 10 years experience in the real estate industry, Thomas is well versed with the many changes in our ever-changing and dynamic local real estate market through the years. His vast experience coupled with his frank and sincere opinion of the market is best captured in his fun, candid and lively presentation.



(2) Financial Expert: Ms Sarabjit


Sarabjit Kaur joined OCBC Bank in 2000 and is currently the Branch Manager of OCBC Home Loan Centre. Prior to joining OCBC Bank, she started her career in the Corporate Banking department and thereafter in Consumer Financial Services.

Sarabjit spent several years in consumer sales as a mobile banking executive doing mortgages and has several years of experience in both the private residential and HDB housing loans.
