The Singapore Labour Foundation (SLF) is funded mainly by contributions from union members, unions and co-operatives as well as dividends from investments. In turn, SLF gives financial support to NTUC and its affiliated unions for their educational, social, cultural and recreational projects and activities. It also insures union members with a group insurance policy called SLF GIFT Plus and extends additional assistance to lower income union members through its other welfare schemes.

SLF Gift Plus

SLF Gift Plus is a group insurance for union members below 65 years old and with at least 6 months of continuous membership. The insurance covers members for death and permanent total disabilities due to accidents or natural causes during and after working hours. Spouses of union members are also covered for death or permanent total disability in any circumstances.
