2015 – IRASSU SG50 Specials

Eligible ordinary members who join IRASSU from 01 Jan 2015 to 31 Dec 2015 will be reimbursed 5 months of union subscription fees.

Join the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore Staff Union (IRASSU) and enjoy the privileges of membership of the Union!

SkillZUp was introduced on 1 April 2009 with the objective to help IRASSU members enhance their employability by equipping them with the necessary skills/knowledge through training. Under the scheme, you can enjoy the following:

1) Apply for courses from the following organisations or those approved by IRASSU which can be outside of your current job scope/IRAS jobs so long as the courses enhance your employability
•    NTUC Learning Hub
•    SkillsFuture
•    Higher Learning Institutes

2) IRAS and IRASSU will jointly subsidise two-thirds of the course fees, subject to a maximum of $250 per calendar year.  With effect from 1 Jan 2015, the cap is higher at $400 if you are 40 years old & above.  Any un-utilized amount cannot be carried forward to the next calendar year;

3) Apply for up to 5 days of unrecorded leave to attend the courses during office hours;

4) With effect from 1 January 2012, you can concurrently claim for course fees (subject to a maximum of $250/$400 per calendar year) under SkillZUp and examination fees/exemption fees/study leave/time-off under the Staff Development Scheme if the courses qualify for the Staff Development Scheme.
