Eight in 10 women polled who had taken a career break intended to return to work, but many face difficulties finding suitable employment, according to research by the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations and NTUC Women and Family.

The measures include fewer non-teaching duties, smaller-class pilots and external support, following calls by various NTUC Labour MPs, MP David Hoe, and the Singapore Teachers’ Union.
