TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE ‘WELCOME OFFER FOR NEW MEMBERS’ CAMPAIGN ORGANISED BY NATIONAL TRADES UNION CONGRESS (“NTUC”)

By participating in this promotion, the Member agrees to the following terms and conditions:-

1. This promotion is only applicable to selected member(s) of NTUC-affiliated unions and/or associations (“Members") who have received and read the email from NTUC relating to the abovementioned campaign.

    

2. To receive the bonus 500 Linkpoints (the “Incentive”), Members are required to use their card at participating Link partners and earn at least 1 Linkpoint within the validity period, as stated in the email (the “Validity Period”).

    

3. The Incentive is non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

    

4. Each Member can only receive the Incentive once during the Validity Period.

    

5. The Incentive will be credited one (1) month after the Member has used his/her card at participating Link partners and has earned at least 1 Linkpoint within the Validity Period.

    

6. An SMS will be sent to the Member after the Incentive has been credited to the Member’s NTUC account. Accordingly, Members are to notify NTUC immediately if they have changed their handphone numbers, and in any case, no later than the expiry of the Validity Date.

    

7. Membership fees must have been fully paid at the time when NTUC credits the Incentive to the Member’s NTUC account.

    

8. The Incentive is valid till 31 December of the following year.

    

9. In the event that the Member does not satisfy any of the abovementioned terms, he/she shall not be entitled to receive the Incentive.

    

10. NTUC reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions for this promotion from time to time, and/or replace the Incentive with one or more items or gifts of equivalent value (such value to be determined by NTUC) without having to give any prior notice or reason for such variations, amendments, deletions, additions and/or replacements.

     

11. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions of this promotion and any other brochure or other promotional material advertising this promotion, these terms and conditions shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.

     

12. NTUC’s decision on all matters relating to this promotion will be final, binding, and conclusive on all members, and no queries, issues, disputes and/or correspondence will be entertained.

     

13. Unless otherwise stated, this promotion is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers or promotions.

     

14. The promotion and the terms and conditions set out herein shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, and all NTUC Member(s) agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts.

     

15. NTUC, its affiliated unions/associations and related entities shall have no liability in respect of and will be indemnified from and against, any liability, claim, damage or costs of any kind (including legal costs) to any person or entity, directly or indirectly, whether by reason of the acceptance of the Incentive, possession use or misuse of the same, or negligent acts, fraud, breach of obligations, covenants, representations or warranties by the Member in connection with this promotion and these terms.

     

16. A person who is not a party to these promotion terms and conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
