FT Consulting, a home-grown business consulting firm, has rallied together some 31 small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to raise $130,000 for needy Singaporean families.

The cheque, which will be channeled to the NTUC-U Care Fund, was presented to NTUC Deputy Secretary-General Heng Chee How, who was the guest of honour at the FT Consulting’s Marquee and Charity Event on 24 August 2021.

The funds raised will go towards supporting various assistance programmes, such as helping families defray their cost of living, their children’s school expenses, as well as caring for the elderly.

NTUC Assistant Director-General Zainal Sapari said that NTUC is happy to be the adopted charity of FT Consulting, and that the funds raised will go a long way to help NTUC’s lower-income members and their families.

“I would like to thank all the donor companies for their support, and I hope this initiative will spur other corporates to work with us to contribute to a credible and worthy cause,” said Mr Zainal, who is also the director of NTUC Care and Share Department.

FT Consulting Group Executive Chairman John Ong said that celebrating the company’s 30th anniversary with its partners through a charity event was a meaningful way to help fellow Singaporeans facing difficult times.

“Though the business landscape remains challenging, I’m personally grateful that the donor companies have all looked beyond their own business needs and banded together to raise a total of $130,000 for this charitable cause,” he said.
