NTUC Freelancers and Self-Employed Unit (U FSE) Director Jean See advocates for freelancer rights and proposes enhancing support and protection for freelancers. She highlights the need for fair and ethical business practices, urging the Government to adopt Tripartite Standards in contracts for creative, media, or coaching sectors.

Ms See calls for engaging with freelancer associations like NICA and VICPA to tackle business cost issues and urges revisiting 2018’s recommendations to update support for self-employed individuals.

She also suggests expanding caregiving grants and providing targeted training support to help freelancers stay competitive, aiming to foster a supportive ecosystem that prioritises their rights and professional growth.
