Budget Debate 2024: More support for vulnerable workers and mid-careerists

Assistant Secretary-General Patrick Tay proposes ways to strengthen support for workers.

NTUC Assistant Secretary-General Patrick Tay gave five considerations on 27 February 2024 in Parliament on how the Government can strengthen its Temporary Financial Support scheme for involuntarily unemployed workers.

 

He also called for the Government to work with the congress to strengthen the SkillsFuture ecosystem, and Continuing Education and Training (CET) for workers.
