New Partnership Strengthens Driver Partner Support and Dialogue Following 2024 MoU

Singapore, 30 June 2025 – Lalamove Singapore has formally recognised the National Delivery Champions Association (NDCA) as the official representative body for its platform workers under the Platform Workers Act. This milestone, celebrated at Lalamove’s Singapore office, empowers NDCA to advocate for Lalamove’s driver partners on common but important matters such as earnings, working conditions, and dispute resolution.

This recognition builds on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Lalamove and NDCA on 28 November 2024. The MoU laid the foundation for enhanced dialogue between NDCA, drivers and Lalamove, alongside initiatives like digital literacy training, including scam prevention workshops, to better equip driver partners.

“Our driver partners are the backbone of Lalamove, navigating not just roads but an ever- evolving digital landscape. By recognising NDCA, we’re going beyond traditional support to empower them with the tools, knowledge, and representation they need to thrive. This partnership reflects our deep commitment to fostering their confidence, security, and long-term success.” said Alex Lin, Managing Director of Lalamove Singapore.

Ng Gan Poh, President of the National Delivery Champions Association said, “This recognition gives our delivery workers a stronger voice with Lalamove management under the Platform Workers Act that NTUC and NDCA have advocated for. Our partnership has already delivered concrete results, including digital training programmes, better working conditions, and improved dispute resolution processes. But this is just the beginning. NDCA will continue pushing for better earnings and stronger protections for our platform workers. I call on delivery workers to join NDCA today so that we can represent your interests.”

Key Benefits for Delivery Partners:

Providing avenues for stronger protection
In line with Lalamove’s aim to enhance the safety and welfare of our driver partners, we will be exploring support for NTUC membership for eligible driver partners. This initiative is part of our broader effort to ensure meaningful benefits and protections for those on the ground.

Greater channels for feedback
This milestone reflects Lalamove’s continued commitment to supporting the well-being of our delivery partners. Through the formal recognition of NDCA, platform workers now have structured representation and access to additional channels to raise and resolve work-related concerns.

Strengthening resilience for driver partners
A key initiative under this partnership is working with NDCA and like-minded partners to organise programmes that build awareness among driver partners on how they can protect themselves, both digitally and physically as they carry out their work.
