It was a National Day to remember, one that puts young Singaporeans in the spotlight.

Over three weekends, some 20,000 people turned up for NTUC’s Majulah SG Youth NDP Bay Celebrations at The Promontory @ Marina Bay.

The final show on 9 August 2025 drew close to 7,000 attendees.

Themed Majulah SG Youth, the event was part of the expanded National Day Parade (NDP) 2025 celebrations, organised in collaboration with the NDP Executive Committee.

Music, dance, and a flash mob surprise

Over 300 youths stepped up as volunteers, performers, and creators, shaping the experience from start to finish.

From the beats of local artists to the interactive art installations, the atmosphere at The Promontory was positively electric.

Headlining the celebrations were homegrown acts like ShiGGa Shay, Shazza, Shabir Sulthan, Estelle Fly, and DJ Caden.

They were also joined by university and dance groups such as SMU SoundFoundry, NTU MJ, and O School.

One of the most notable moments came during NTUC’s symbolic segment, Building Singapore’s Hopes and Moving Dreams Forward.

A high-energy flash mob of 25 youth dancers from O School took to the stage with DJ Red’s remix of National Day classics.

Dreams made visible

The celebrations weren’t just about performances; they were a platform for youth voices.

NTUC’s booth showcased programmes designed to help young people transition from school to work, with information on mentorships, internships, and career development.

Around the venue, interactive SG60 installations brought fresh perspectives to national pride. Installations like:

  • The Dream Exchange: A phone booth where visitors got to listen to 6,000 anonymous well-wishes from Singaporeans across the island.
  • The Majulah SG Youth: A massive art wall of over 8,000 doodles from students in 14 Institutes of Higher Learning, each sketch a personal take on Singapore today.
  • The Future We Create: An AI-generated display that showcased young Singaporeans’ aspirations for the next chapter of the nation’s story.

In celebrating our nation’s 60th birthday, the NTUC NDP Bay Celebrations also reaffirmed NTUC’s commitment to supporting youth as they pursue their dreams and aspirations, providing them with necessary resources to succeed.
