As a caring Labour Movement, NTUC is committed to help our low-income union members in times of need through various assistance programmes. The NTUC Care Fund (e-Vouchers) is an assistance programme which aims to assist our low-income union members to defray their cost of basic necessities and their children's school expenses for the new school year.

 

Eligible members will receive one e-voucher, for use on daily necessities and/or school-going necessities for the new school year:

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Member’s date joined union must be at least 6 continuous months at point of application and must not be in arrears

Members WITHOUT Family members staying in the Same Household in Singapore

  • Personal Gross Monthly Income1 must be $1,500 and below, inclusive of overtime and allowances.

Members WITH Family members staying in the Same Household in Singapore

  • Total Monthly Gross Household Income1 must be $3,400 and below, inclusive of overtime and allowances; OR
    Per Capita Income must be $850 and below if gross household income exceeds $3,400.

 

1Gross income is defined as all income derived from employment/business, inclusive of overtime and allowances.

2Refers to children staying in the same household as member in Singapore and attending school in 2022 at an eligible educational institution in Singapore as follows:

  • Kindergarten 1 or 2;
  • Government / Government-Aided / Independent Schools (Primary or Secondary) under the Ministry of Education (MOE);
  • Junior Colleges; Institute of Technical Education; Millennia Institute; Polytechnics; OR
  • Special Education Schools

Note:

1. Graduating students (e.g. final year junior college students) who will not be attending schools in Year 2023 will not be eligible.

2. Each child is only eligible for the voucher once i.e. If both parents are members, child(ren) will only be approved in one application.

 

How do I apply?

The application opens from 17 October, 0900hrs to 30 December 2022, 2200hrs. Union members who meet the eligibility criteria may submit their applications via the OneCARE system at https://ucare.ntuc.org.sg/assistance/ with NTUC Linkpass account. Refer to OneCARE System User Guide and Online Video Demo on how to apply. 

Note: If you have not registered with Linkpass, you will be directed to the registration page. Please ensure you have both email address and mobile number to register for an NTUC Linkpass account.

 

When and How will I receive the e-vouchers?

  • Successful applicants will receive their e-vouchers by SMS sent to the mobile number that is registered within 30 working days. Note: Sender name is ‘NTUC U Care’
  • SMS will contain the URL to open the e-voucher and a 4-digit pin code. Both will be required to redeem the e-vouchers. Please do not forward the SMS.
  • The NTUC Care Fund (e-Vouchers) are valid till 30 April 2023. Strictly no extension will be granted after the voucher expiry date.

Note: It is important that mobile numbers are updated to receive the e-vouchers. You may update your mobile number via NTUC U Portal at www.ntuc.org.sg.

 

How do I use the e-vouchers?

Members can load their e-voucher on their mobile phone and use it at participating merchants for exact value purchases with no minimum purchase. You may refer to the step by step redemption guide.
