The Labour Movement is stepping up support for workers seeking opportunities in the tech and digital sector through two career fairs organised by NTUC's Employment and Employability Institute (e2i). The first Tech Talent Career Fair supported by the Amalgamated Union of Statutory Board Employees (AUSBE) was held on 4 August 2026 at the NTUC Centre, One Marina Boulevard. A second fair will be held on 1 September 2026 at the Singapore Land Tower.
From the career fair held today, and also through the Tech Elevation & Career Hub (TECH)1 platform (https://techjobs.e2i.com.sg/), jobseekers can access close to 250 job roles and over 1,000 vacancies from over 50 employers, including 12 who participated at the career fair today. These vacancies cover a broad spectrum of technology and digital roles, including artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, software engineering, data analytics and digital transformation.
Participating employers include unionised companies and employer partners such as NCS, Singtel, ST Engineering, Accenture, Amazon Web Services, EMINET, Huawei International, Red Alpha Cybersecurity, Red Dot AI, Tangspac Consulting, TOPPAN Ecquariaand Vinova.
The career fairs are open to all jobseekers, including fresh graduates, Professionals, Managers and Executives (PMEs), and those looking to transition into technology-related roles. Jobseekers can explore opportunities in high-demand functions – such as Project Manager, Business Analyst, Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, and Cybersecurity Engineer, among other technology-related roles.
At the career fairs, workers can:
a) Explore technology-related job opportunities with participating employers onsite and through the TECH Portal Kiosk;
b) Speak directly with hiring representatives and recruiters;
c) Apply for available positions and attend onsite interviews; and
d) Receive career guidance from e2i career coaches.
The career fairs are part of NTUC’s broader efforts to support workers amid business restructuring and workforce transformation as businesses continue to invest in digitalisation and AI capabilities. According to the Ministry of Manpower's latest labour market data, retrenchments rose to 4,500 in Q2 2026, with a higher incidence among workers in professional sectors. At the same time, demand for specialised and higher-skilled talent remains resilient.
As workers face these changes, NTUC is committed to helping them access new opportunities and build careers in growth sectors. Through initiatives such as the NTUC AI-Ready SG, career coaching, job matching and skills upgrading support, NTUC seeks to help workers become better prepared, better matched and move into better jobs in an AI-enabled economy. These efforts support workers at different stages of their careers, whether they are looking for their first job, transitioning, or re-entering the workforce.
