NTUC Privacy & Personal Data Protection Policy

The National Trades Union Congress (“NTUC”, “we”, “our” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”).

This Privacy & Personal Data Protection Policy (“Policy”) explains how NTUC, our affiliated unions and associations and Ong Teng Cheong Labour Leadership Institute (OTCi), may collect, use, disclose, retain and otherwise process your personal data when you interact with NTUC, our affiliated unions, associations, social enterprises, related entities, digital platforms, websites, mobile applications, events, programmes and services (“NTUC Services”).

By interacting with NTUC, submitting information to us, signing up for membership, attending events, using NTUC Services, or otherwise providing your personal data to us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and that the personal data provided is current, complete and accurate.

This Policy supplements but does not supersede or replace any other consents, notices, agreements or terms you may have previously provided to NTUC in respect of your personal data.

NTUC is committed to ensuring that your personal data is handled appropriately and protected with reasonable security arrangements. NTUC may update or amend this Policy from time to time due to changes in operational practices, technology, legal or regulatory requirements. Upon receiving your request, NTUC will process your access and/or correction request within thirty (30) business days. If we are unable to do so within thirty (30) business days after receiving your request, we will inform you in writing of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request. If we are unable to process your request, we will inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the PDPA).

You may withdraw your consent for NTUC’s collection, use or disclosure of your personal data or unsubscribe from marketing communications by contacting us using the details in Section 13 below.

Upon receiving your request, NTUC will process your withdrawal request within thirty (30) business days. If we are unable to do so within thirty (30) business days after receiving your request, we will inform you in writing of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request. If we are unable to process your request, we will inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the PDPA).

Please note: withdrawing consent may affect NTUC’s ability to continue providing certain services, benefits or membership-related activities. Such a withdrawal may therefore result in the termination of any membership that you may have with NTUC.
