Setsco Services Pte Ltd is a leading organisation offering comprehensive range of services including testing, calibration, inspection, certification, consultancy and training services to key markets such as Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Marine, Food, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Petrochemical, Electronics, Environmental, Construction and Building & Facilities.

With over 40 years of extensive experience, Setsco Services Pte Ltd is one of Singapore’s largest test and inspection companies accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council – Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SAC-Singlas) to ISO/IEC 17025 and by SAC to ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17065 and ISO/IEC 17021.

In September 2019, the company established the Company Training Committee (CTC) with National Transport Workers Union (NTWU) and has since been actively exploring the enhancement of workplace processes.

Project details

During the Operation and Technology (OTR) session in 2021, the team identified the need to reshape its business model and workforce with the use of technology. The addition of fatigue testing machine not only expanded Setsco's capability to include fatigue load testing but also represents a comprehensive shift in existing staff roles, equipping them with new knowledge on fatigue testing as well as skills in the testing and inspection industry. This will render the staff to be more versatile and efficient, thus driving better productivity throughout the company.

By tapping on the CTC Grant administered by NTUC’s e2i, Setsco Services is able to implement this strategic asset this year to advance its technological capabilities and human resources within the organisation. This would not have been possible without the good collaboration between the company and NTWU.
