Total Cleanz Pte Ltd is a leading provider of cleaning and sanitisation services in Singapore since 2004. Originating as a small residential cleaning and laundry service, the company initially relied on teamwork to ensure that every job was done well. Despite encountering many challenges along the way, their ‘never give up’ spirit has been the key to their success.

When COVID-19 struck, the team had to adapt quickly and acquire new skills in disinfection, fogging and viral protection to ensure that they were able to continue providing their services safely and efficiently.

With a team of experienced and professional cleaners, they have since extended their scope beyond residential households, catering to corporate and industrial businesses.

Project details

Total Cleanz formed their Company Training Committee (CTC) with Building Construction and Timber Industries Employees’ Union (BATU) in July 2022. During the Operation and Technology Roadmap (OTR) journey, the team conceptualised a project focused on developing a self-coating agent for external glass coating. The team then collaborated with Singapore Polytechnic (SP) and Advanced Materials Technology Centre (AMTC) to transform this idea into reality.

This project has enhanced Total Cleanz’s business capabilities in the following areas:

  • Sustainability commitments: Besides its ability to reject ultraviolet (UV) light, the new self-coating agent also has energy-saving benefits, which is aligned with Total Cleanz’s pursuit of sustainable solutions.
  • Increased productivity: With the incorporation of self-cleaning properties, the process of cleaning glass windows has been further simplified, thereby allowing workers to focus on other tasks as well as reducing workplace risks associated with cleaning.
