Terms and conditions

  1. The Family Membership scheme organised by the National Trades Union Congress (the “NFM” or “NTUC Family Membership”) is a new membership program under which an existing member of the NTUC Membership (the “Main Member” or “Main Applicant”) is allowed to nominate 4 non-working next of kins (“NOKs” or “Family Members”) to join as NFM members, subject to the terms and conditions herein.
  2. The NFM is open to Main Member’s parent(s) or parent(s)-in-law or the Main Member’s children age(s) 24 years old and below. Any changes or updates to the NOK will be subject to review and approval by NTUC in its sole discretion.
  3. The annual NFM fee is S$24, which shall be an upfront payment with no refund, unless such payment has been expressly waived (in full or in part).
  4. The Main Member shall be responsible for the payment of all fees under the NFM.
  5. The Main Member confirms and undertakes that: (a) he/she is the cardholder of the relevant credit / debit card which has been used to pay for the annual NFM fees, or (b) has obtained the consent of the cardholder of the relevant credit/debit card to use such credit / debit card for the payment of the annual NFM fees, as the case may be. The Main Member shall fully indemnify NTUC and/or the relevant NTUC affiliated union/association for and against any losses, claims, damages, liabilities that NTUC and/or such NTUC affiliated union/association may suffer or incur if the Main Member breaches this undertaking.
  6. Only nominated NOK(s) under the NFM between the age of 12 to 24 years old is/are eligible for the complimentary 1-year nEbO membership offered under NFM. For the avoidance of doubt, the complimentary 1-year nEbo membership shall only be applicable for individuals who are not existing nEbo members.
  7. The NFM benefits are subject to change and updates from time to time, which changes and/or updates shall be in the sole discretion of NTUC.
  8. The Main Member’s NTUC Membership must be active in order for him/her to sign up for NFM for his/her NOK(s). As the NFM for NOKs is contingent on the Main Member’s NTUC Membership status being “active” and/or in existence, in the event that the Main Member’s NTUC Membership lapses or is cancelled, the NFM for all NOK(s) shall likewise cease and/or be cancelled accordingly.
  9. NTUC reserves the right to cancel the NFM when the Main Member’s NTUC Membership has lapsed or is inactive or cancelled. For the avoidance of doubt, in the event the NFM is cancelled, NTUC shall not refund any of the fees paid by the Main Member for the NFM (whether in part or in full).
  10. NTUC reserves the right at any time to vary, modify, amend, add or delete the terms and conditions herein without prior notice.
  11. A person who is not a party to this set of terms and conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act, to enforce any of the terms herein. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, and parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts.

 

Cancellation

As the NTUC Family Membership is contingent on the existence and continuation of the Main Member’s NTUC Membership, in the event that the Main Member’s NTUC Membership is cancelled, the NTUC Family Membership shall likewise be cancelled accordingly and NFM eCoupons will cease from the following month.

 

No refund policy

Where the NTUC Family Membership is cancelled for whatever reason, there shall be no refund of any and/or all fees. NTUC shall not entertain any claims, queries and/or disputes relating to refunds arising out of and/or in connection with the cancellation of the NTUC Family Membership.
