  • FairPrice Group will double its discount for CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders from 3 to 6 per cent from 3 September 2026 to 1 January 2027.

  • CHAS Blue cardholders can enjoy the discount every Thursday, while CHAS Orange cardholders can use it every Friday across FairPrice stores, Unity pharmacies and FairPrice Online, on spending of up to $200 per day.

  • Cardholders can combine the discount with CDC vouchers and existing promotions, while eligible online shoppers can also receive a $3.99 service-fee waiver with a minimum spend of $100.

FairPrice Group will increase its CHAS discounts from 3 to 6 per cent until 1 January 2027, as it steps up support for eligible households managing rising daily expenses.

The enhanced discounts, supported by FairPrice Group’s philanthropic arm FairPrice Foundation, build on more than $10 million in savings already provided to CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders in 2026.

FairPrice CHAS discount schedule for Blue and Orange cardholders

CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders can enjoy the 6 per cent discount on different days of the week.

CHAS Blue cardholders can receive 6 per cent off their purchases every Thursday from 3 September 2026.

CHAS Orange cardholders can receive 6 per cent off their purchases every Friday from 4 September 2026.

The discounts will be available across all FairPrice supermarkets, including FairPrice Finest and FairPrice Xtra, as well as Unity pharmacies and FairPrice Online. The discount applies to a total spend of up to $200 per customer each day.

FairPrice Group CEO Vipul Chawla said the decision to double the discounts reflects the retailer’s commitment to providing sustained support and helping eligible households save more on their everyday needs.

He said: “As the first retailer in Singapore to introduce discounts for CHAS cardholders, we have consistently looked for ways to support our community, especially those who may need more help.

“By making these savings available both in-store and online, we hope to deliver meaningful value where it matters and make every day a little better for the communities we serve.”

How to maximise CHAS savings at FairPrice stores and online

Eligible cardholders can combine the enhanced CHAS discount with CDC vouchers and existing FairPrice store promotions to stretch their grocery budget further.

Those shopping through FairPrice Online can also enjoy a waiver of the $3.99 service fee when they spend at least $100 on their designated discount day.

The waiver applies to CHAS Blue cardholders on Thursdays and CHAS Orange cardholders on Fridays.

To make it easier for shoppers to access the discounts, FairPrice Group has integrated MyInfo by Singpass into the FPG App in May 2025.

Eligible shoppers need to verify their details only once, and their CHAS discounts will then be applied automatically when shopping online or by scanning the FPG App at participating physical stores.

NTUC and FairPrice Group help Singaporeans stretch their grocery dollar

NTUC Secretary-General Ng Chee Meng said that helping households manage their grocery expenses is part of NTUC’s broader social mission to support workers and Singaporeans.

He said: “Keeping grocery bills manageable is one way NTUC advances our social mission to support workers and Singaporeans. In particular for lower-income households, with the discount doubled, this will add up to meaningful savings over time.

“Through our impact businesses like FairPrice Group, more than $10 million in savings have been provided to CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders this year, and we want to do more.”

Other FairPrice affordability measures introduced in 2026

The latest CHAS discount initiative follows an earlier round of enhanced support from 9 April to 31 May 2026, when FairPrice Group also doubled discounts for CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders and waived the service fee for eligible online orders.

FairPrice Group has rolled out several other initiatives in 2026 to help Singapore households manage their daily expenses.

These included freezing the prices of more than 500 daily essentials from June to August, offering discounts of up to 36 per cent on selected housebrand essentials and distributing 80,000 Buka Puasa refreshment sets.

More than $60,000 worth of festive care packs was also distributed to charity and community beneficiaries earlier in the year.
