Dr Sarah Chan is a Research Fellow under the Chan Heng Chee Fellowship at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities in SUTD, where she co-leads the Urban Psychology Lab. Trained in Psychology and Economics, her work examines how people navigate changing environments, from homes and public spaces to digital systems and evolving workplaces. Her research focuses on the synergies and trade-offs between technological and urban development, environmental sustainability, and human well-being. She works with partners across policy, industry, community, and labour settings to turn research insights into practical ways of improving everyday life in cities.
