Professor, University of Chicago, Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice; Deputy Dean for Research and Faculty Development
Professor Julia Henly is the Samuel Deutsch Professor in the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at the University of Chicago, where she serves as Deputy Dean for Research and Faculty Development and directs the Policy Levers for Equitable Employment and Child Care Research Collaborative. Professor Henly studies employment conditions in service and care sectors, childcare and work support policies, and work-care management among low- and moderate-earning families. Her work is focused primarily on the United States. Professor Henly is a Fellow of the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare and the Society for Social Work and Research.
