Coverage of death, total/partial and permanent disability of up to $40,000 for union members who are below 65 years old

What is NTUC GIFT?

NTUC GIFT is a group insurance policy exclusively for members of NTUC affiliated unions and association. All union members who are below 65 years old are automatically covered against death, total/partial and permanent disability of up to $40,000. Union leaders are eligible for double the sum assured. Union members’ spouses below 65 years old are also covered against death, total/partial and permanent disability. Eligible members aged 65 years and above can opt for extension of coverage with payment of a token fee.

Who is eligible for NTUC GIFT?

Please ensure that you are eligible to apply for the NTUC GIFT                                       

You are an NTUC member who are 16 years old and above and below 65 years old
You have at least 6 months of continuous paid-up union/association membership
Members' spouses who are 16 years old and above and below 65 years old, subject to members meeting the eligibility criteria
 
  
 

How to make a claim

Step 1

Please contact your union. If you are a general branch union member, you can contact NTUC Customer Service Centre. If you are an association member, please contact your association.

Step 2

NTUC GIFT claim form must be submitted within 90 days of member’s death or permanent and total disability.

Programme details

GIFT Extension will be eligible for members aged 65 years old and above. They will need to meet a minimum membership tenure criteria and subject to a token fee payment. This fee will be waived till 30 April 2026.

No. As this is a group insurance arrangement, a Master Policy will be kept by NTUC.
