E-Scooter DELIVERY Riders Assistance Programme by NTUC

NTUC and its partners have put together a suite of services to help e-scooter delivery riders who are facing a sudden loss of income.

U FSE SHORT-TERM RELIEF FUND (E-SCOOTER) DELIVERY RIDERS

Application period: 19 Nov - 31 Mar 2020

From Tuesday 19 November 2019, e-scooter delivery riders who are existing union members or keen to sign up as new members can head down to the following locations for application:

  1. NTUC Members' Hub (Available from 19 November 2019 till 31 March 2020)

    NTUC Centre, 1 Marina Boulevard #B1-03 Singapore 018989
    Opens Mon till Fri, 9am till 5.30pm

    Nearest MRT Stations: Raffles Place or Downtown

    By Bus:
    Clifford Pier / Fullerton Bay Hotel (Service Nos: 10, 10E, 57, 70, 75, 100, 107, 128, 130, 131, 162, 167, 196, 196E, 531, 541, 546, 587, 590, 598, 700)

For union members who qualify, your union membership fees will be reimbursed to you via GIRO after three months.

U Care Assistance Programmes

Whether you are an existing or new member sign-up, you will need to submit the U FSE Short-term Relief Fund form to check eligibility for this programme.

Upon submission of the U FSE Short-term Relief Fund form, our staff will guide you through the procedures for applying these U Care Assistance Programmes.

Training & Career support

Training support
For riders who wish to continue this profession who are eligible to trade in their e-scooters, they can look forward to curated training programmes covering areas such as safety, service management and first aid. These training programmes will be made available by NTUC LearningHub from the week of 18 November.

Career support
For those who wish to switch jobs, NTUC’s e2i will help riders identify and assess their skills gaps and thereafter, recommend suitable training and/or relevant job fairs or referrals to match them to new jobs. NTUC’s e2i is also working with the three main food delivery companies (GrabFood, foodpanda and Deliveroo) to provide career guidance and employment facilitation services for their affected workers.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Members must submit the necessary application forms to be considered for the E-scooter Delivery Riders Assistance Programme.
  2. Members can only make one claim for the E-Scooter Delivery Riders Assistance Programme.
  3. Members must not be in arrears. If a member is in arrears, the member has the option to make good the arrears or cease the existing membership and resubmit the membership application. However, this will affect membership tenure and eligibility for our various membership benefits.
  4. This programme is subject to availability, and whilst the application period is until 31 Dec 2019, NTUC may close this programme earlier if it is oversubscribed.
  5. The financial support for daily essentials may not be exchanged for cash.
  6. NTUC will have the final say on whether applications will be approved.
  7. Terms and conditions for this programme may be subject to change without prior notice.
