In partnership with Nanyang Technology University (NTU) and Singapore University of Social Science (SUSS), NETF supports a suite of blended/online courses to encourage NTUC members and U Network Members to take up such courses to keep up with technology and industry development.

How much is the training subsidy?

NTUC Member

NTUC members enjoy 75% unfunded course fee support for up to $250 per year when you sign up for online/blended courses by NTU and SUSS supported under UTAP. 

Eligibility Criteria:
All NTUC members can apply. However, the following criteria must be met to be eligible for UTAP:

1. Paid-up union membership before course commenced, throughout whole course duration and at the point of claim
2. Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP, and training must commence within the supported period
3. Course must not be fully funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding
4. Unfunded course fee must be S$20 and above
5. You must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any
6. UTAP application must be submitted with the course providers at the point of registration

How do I check my NTUC membership status?

You may check your NTUC membership status by calling our hotline at 6213 8008 and select the following options:

• Press 1 for member
• Provide your NRIC number
• Press 1 again to check your membership status

U Network Member

Other than Affiliated Trade Unions of NTUC, U Network comprises of members of the Associate Affiliates of NTUC, U Associates and Labour Movement Communities such as UPME, USME partners and UFSE partners.

U Network members can enjoy 25% of unfunded course fee support capped at $50 per year when you sign up for online/blended courses by NTU and SUSS supported under UTAP.

1. Registered with NTUC as a U Network member
2. Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP, and training must commence within the supported period
3. Course must not be fully funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding
4. Unfunded course fee must be S$20 and above
5. You must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any
6. UTAP application must be submitted with the course providers at the point of registration

Note:
Individual who has signed up as both NTUC member as well as U Network member will enjoy the same training subsidy for NTUC members i.e. overall subsidy cap of $250 per year per NTUC member.

How do I check if I am a U Network Member?

An email confirmation will be sent to you once you’ve signed up to become a U Network member. Alternatively, you may access the U Network card via MyNTUC mobile app with your registered U Portal account. If you have forgotten your U Portal password, please go to www.ntuc.org.sg to request for a new password.
