Shared Parenting

Join U Family’s community of advocates and make a difference!

NTUC U Family calls on fathers to do more in sharing caregiving duties with their wives. Sharing caregiving duties enables more mothers to remain in / return to the workforce to continue their career aspiration. Employers must also recognise the importance of shared caregiving (including shared parenting) and to help working caregivers harmonise both work and parenting responsibilities.

New Dad’s Survival Kits

NTUC U Family launched the Shared Parenting campaign with the distribution of New Dad's Survival Kits to fathers of newborns at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and National University Hospital.

The New Dad’s Survival Kit is a fun kit containing useful and fun items such as coffee sachets, energy bars, eye patches as well as pain relief patches, to motivate new fathers in caring for their newborns. It includes useful information on the different types of parenting leave and a lyrics sheet of popular nursery rhymes.

The distribution of the kits is made possible with the support of Healthcare Services Employees Union.
